It is a method that is performed with use of a special software tools (Example: Micro Focus – UFT (Formerly HPE – QTP), Selenium, IBM Rational, Telerik, Test Complete, Tosca, Zephyr, Ranorex, etc...) to control the execution of tests and compare actual test results with predicted or expected results.
