PSD to HTML has been in practice for more than decade now. Do still people convert PSD to HTML?

What is PSD to HTML?

It is a workflow. Often web designer will design a web page in a Photoshop document (PSD) to get in-principle approval from the client or product owner and then convert it to code (using HTML, CSS and JavaScript).

Do still people convert PSD to HTML?

Photoshop is still very important to web design but to create responsive website and graphical intense websites you need an Illustrator, Muse, XD and other tools.

Does this mean PSD to HTML is dead?

No, It is still very important to web design. High detail mockups are still sometime generated in Photoshop. UI and UX designers upload PSD to tools like Marvel, Invision and link the screens together to work as a prototype. Then they pass the files to Front end developers to slice it HTML/CSS/JS with best practice of SEO and Performance to make it easy to work cross browsers.
